Barn in Fog

This painting stayed in my bin for a long time. I bought a book recently that combined realism with some abstraction and I set out to change it a bit. I used mixed media to give it a veil of fog and to pay attention only to some details. wHAT IS YOUR OPINION?

Looking Down a Pond

Looks as if there is a bird looking down at a pond. This was a 6x6 wrapped around canvas covered with cracklingpaste thick in some areas and thin in others. The paint cracks as it dries and then a pouring of watery acrylic paint was poured. What is your opinion? Or is  the bird looking down on a city?

Purple Duo

This painting is in multi media collage . I had the wet in wet background and started pasting different materials such as rice paper, vegetable mesh and wax paper. I then poured some inks on it. I began to see some shapes that reminded me of irises. I then added some colors with watercolors and acrylics.

Memories of the Alhambra

I am proud of this mixed media painting. I did it to demo in my class on experimental art, but had the mat and frame  and is already on my wall.

Playing with Foam

This painting is an experiment using shaving cream. After placing the shaving cream on the support and drying it , you get this effect created as a resist. I later tweaked it and got this painting.

Silver Day

I had a lot of fun doing this collage for a demo in my experimental media class. I used aluminum foil and metallic ribbon. After looking at it for a few days, I added some collage items and  glued in a button.

Quik Draw event

Here I am yesterday afternoon at the Laurel Ridge Country Club doing my thing. Quik Draw is designed to raise money for art programs in the school system. There were 50 artists invited to participate. After we work on a painting for an hour there is anauction. There is also a part in which you bring a painting already done and ready as you see to my left on the photo and there is a silent auction for these paintings. People bid on a starting bid that the artist sets up. It is a fun event the public and members of the club are invited at $50 a peerson to stay for dinner. I will find out at a later day whether the painting was bid on.
