Red, Violet and Green in touch.

On a arecent visit to the local library I spotted these large seeds that had bloomed into what looked like cherries. They came from the dogwoods. Again, the media is mixed. Size  8x8.

YE;LLOW AND RED IN THE MOOD

This collage came about slowly. I first painted the background with mixed media and later I layered on the colors and put pieces of tissue paper. I also painted passages in ink to darken some areas. This is another in the Fall series. Measurees 8x8.

WHEN WE WORE PINK

I am working on a series reminiscing old times in my youth in Cuba. We wore lots of beautiful dresses made in materials such as organza, polish cotton, satin, etc which tend not to be in used much any more. We would go all dresses up to the park to hear a band that played in a gazebo at the park and where young people met. Such beautiful times long gone now.

Musical Moments Togetherness

Decided to put Musical Moments together. I think I like them together. What do you think? The painting now will go in a sixteen by twenty, my favorite size.

Musical Moments No. 2

This piece is a companion to the other Musical Moments. I will be framing them  in black. Am going to paint a series of membrance as part of memories of the now distant yet close land I came from. There were many years of separation when it was not possible to travel between this country and Cuba and didn't see my folks for close to 20 years. I am going to do a series incorporating some of the letters that sustained us duiring those painful years. .
