Little Storms

This small painting is the result of a lot of mixed media work.  After doing an under paintings,  I  painted gesso over the paint, I pour drops of alcohol on the paint and also bits of rinse aid. I finished the painting by adjusting colors and value.

Red Hot Day

I was playing with colors here and then decided to imprint a stencil shape.

End of Day at Office Number Two

This is the companion to the previously posted one. Mixed media also, but on watercolor paper. A good end to a hard day.

End of Day at Office Number One

This painting is on yupo paper. It is a wet in wet job with objects thrown into the wash. After the painting dried, the objects were printed on the paper. I finished it by adding color and scratching lines into the yupo paper. This painting has a companion

Arabesque

Every so often I can't resist paintings flowers especially in the spring and summer. These were painted from the imagination, just remembering the motif flowers. The painting measures 30x30 and is done in acrylics with accents in pastels. The painting works well vertically also, but I tried it this way and liked it too. What do you think?

Sea Fantasy

I remain in love with sea scapes. The colors of the ocean fascinate me and remind me of my former island home This work is framed and matted in a 30x30 frame.

Spring Bouquet

It has been a while since I painted flowers and I decided it was time to do so. We have such beautiful flowers at this time of the year. This work is a mixed media effort .
