New Beginnings

This painting is a 30x30. I photographed it as part of a tryptich, but decided to photograph it alone and I like the photo better.

In My Own Wonderwoods.

This painting is a square 13.5x13.5 I placed painted strips of rice paper and then painted over some areas using the same colors. I did some touch ups with paint here and there. Visit my blog http://silviawilliamspaintsmixedmedia.blogspot.com or write swsilart@gmail.com for more info.

Blue and Gold Mood

This painting measures 15x11. It is done on foam board and has many layers of paint. It is also a multi media creation. I start with colors I like which are usually turquoise, light magenta and light yellow. I work the layers till I am satisfied with the results. I also pasted on some layers of tissue paper. At the end, I took some string and painted the string with the colors I used in the painting. I am a mood painter and add the colors and layers as I feel the need.

Dawn at Last

This painting also grew out of the crisis. I was just about to give painting up for good, but then, such is life and I got back in love with painting which is the equivalent of being in love with life.Just when one thinks they are out of inspiration here comes a painting. I have learned to deal with this aspect of being an artist. Hope all will enjoy the emergence from crisis. Thus the title. Measurements are 20x30, acrylic on canvas.

Part Three of Patchwork Look Alike

This is the last of the tryptich. It is 80x84 in total. Can be purchased separetly. These paintings came out of what I call a crisis in painting. I had difficulty creating something that pleased me. There are many layers underneath these three paintings. After counseling with my friend and painting coach, he moved me on with an idea. Thus here the series.
